Over the past couple of months, I've been working with fashion crackheads Jacinta & Joyc e to plot our way through a super side project we'd like to call LEFTBLOCK. This one's a mish mash joyride where colour pom poms, upcoming designers and underground design works all come out to play; or you could simply think of it as your alternative gateway to fashion orgasm (hehe).

But hey, think I might just play a little suspense game with you guys while we drop this little teaser on your calenders next Thursday, the 22nd of April. We will be collaborating with Nike Sportswear to give you some insider scoop of what you'll be expecting in our BIG GIG this coming July.

The stakes have gone up since working with Nike Sportswear previously on our PMS for Nike Sportswear colab last year, so be expecting some pretty exciting things for this coming event which will feature their Spring/Summer 2010 collection.

So today was Sweatshop Session in preparation for the big gig where the 3 of us spent the first few hours cock staring at a gray tee and decided that dirty yellow and gray just ain't meant to be. And so was peach & white, cheap silver, electric blue, and hot pink. Noice -_-

But hey, me thinks our 6 hour work shift ended up pretty banging with a rib cage, web necklace, netted cape and some groovy leggings dancing along to 70's music. We'll bring them out to play next week, just you wait :)

Headed up north for an intense foody road trip couple of weeks ago. Pit stops included:
-Bidor's Pun Chun duck noodles.The last time i ate this was about what, 7-8 years ago? Still as packed as ever!
- Ling Sen Tong temple where i prayed mainly for the wellbeing of the family, success of the cafe and sumthing sumthing.
- That 'Big Tree' where the 14 of us sat under and feast on jumbo sugarcane juice & chee cheong fun dipped in assam laksa soup. Eh, quite nice =p
- This medan near a stadium for 'Ai Yu Ping'. Never heard of it before but its yellow jelly with ice and coconut milk. I think.
- This place where this Aunty serves up some super banging Pandan Rice I could kidnap her home. I swear this is treasure cove!! Anyone who's going Ipoh should give this place a shot =p

1. Judging from the first few photos, I should just learn to shut my mouth when taking photos. One day a fly's gonna zap in before i shout the four letter word. I is no want is thats happenings.
2. The twins have been keeping me very occupied with "aunty michelle, i want to ride horse! aunty michelle, i want to sit aeroplane! aunty michelle, i want to sit train" With me being all of the above mode-of-transport- 2 hands in air, legs ajar. go figure.
3. Anyone who's a slave for anything chewy and bouncy should definitely check out Snowflake for their Taiwanese dessert. It runs around RM5.5 a pop and gets you on a chewing frenzy for the rest of the night, like it did me. whee whee!
4. Rock Band shall be favourite hobby of 2010 provided i get Gingey as lead singer and Elaine as bassist. Let's just hope we don't get disbanded and start canceling tours anytime soon.
5. I love that shot of sings, in a dress, ladylike, so unlike her.
6. I spread my love for Chirashi and Ochazuke so much that i've completely converted MK. He's so converted he even customizes his Chirashi!! Double triple brownie points!

The day I learned never to wear a belt (to a 4 hr long food tasting session) and never have too high expectations,EVER. It always ends up being a downer. (I never learn, tsk tsk) For this case in particular, it ended with me and half the family suffering from minor IBS (shit, no shit). It was nasty.

Im a visual kinda person, it keeps me going. I've pasted this huge ass brown sheet on our wall i call the 'Inspiration Blob', throwing in a photo collective that inspires me; snippets of what i'd like to dump into our cafe space. Never quite understood the lil sister's obsession for pretty pajamas. My collection (if one could call it that) is a compilation of 4am supper stained tees, overly-stretched out tanks, stolen stuff from the boy and occasionally, the birthday suit. Hers on the other hand is strictly 100% pretty, 100% sentimental, 100% cotton or 100% non-ugly. (Yeh, i hear you mouthing 'freak', don't worry, i do that all the time, it's PJ's for god's sake...or so i thought)

So, she's been outta town the last couple of days and i've been playing curator for her pajama museum of sorts and goddamn that woman knows how to sleep! The discovery of candy floss silk shorts, cotton button downs with silk lining and lacey-satin pants got me thinking: 'her non-ugly stash is really quite non-ugly?' So of course i did what i should've done 10 years ago and slept, ate, shit, ran about and coffee-d at St. Ali's with said candy floss shorts. I am 100% sold to the 100% silk shorts. I swear it feels like one's butt naked the entire time, the feeling's awezzzommmeee.

Can u tell? I need 'em silk shorts?

Happy times, fat times
Slightly less than a month to go before i leave Oz for good, i know damn well i'm gonna miss it, but i'm heading back to something that's churning out to be a pretty exciting one (or so i pray)
I'm back for ONE (ok three) very reason(s), but i guess you'll just have to stick around and see what I'll be cooking up!
